Brembo 17 RCS Corsa Corta front brake master cylinders have a 17mm piston and feature six different adjustment options, including bite point adjustment in addition to the patented RCS (Ratio Click System) introduced by Brembo over ten years ago on their 17 RCS master cylinder..

The RCS gives adjustment of the lever distance for even more feel and adjustability. Within seconds, the braking system can be changed between aggressive and reactive (20mm) or softer with more modulation (18mm), using only a screwdriver.

In addition to the RCS system, the Corsa Corta master cylinders have three different 'maps', N, S and R, giving the possibility of six different combinations. N (normal) gives a standard bite point position, to guarantee a more gradual initial braking phase, suitable for road riding or riding in poor conditions. S (sport) gives a more dynamic response, suitable for sportier riding. R (race) allows for the initial braking phase to be reduced as much as possible, giving a similar bite point feel to the master cylinders used in Moto GP. R mode is designed specifically for race and track day applications.

The lever assembly can be changed without disassembling the RCS system, allowing any settings to remain. The long folding lever is designed to give added crash resistance.

About Brembo

Brembo

In over 50 years since Brembo was founded in Italy, their company history has been dotted with great technological, sporting and commercial successes, transforming the company into a global leader – a brand whose name is synonymous with “brakes” the world over.

Its successes include the production of the first complete braking system, installed as standard on Moto Guzzi and Laverda motorcycles in 1972; the Formula 1 supply for Ferrari in 1975; the first aluminum caliper and the first carbon discs in the 1980s. In 2021, Brembo celebrates its first 60 years of history: An entrepreneurial adventure steeped in technological innovation and continuous research in design and performance, which has led to a starring role in motorsport.

Look at any top level motorsport, whether it's two or four wheeled and it won't take you long to find a Brembo braking system - they make some of the world's best brakes for some of the world's best teams and we wouldn't use anything else on our own race bikes.
