Shock Refurbising
During a re-furb the shock is fully dismantled, inspected for wear and thoroughly cleaned. All chrome sections such as the damper rod are then polished to reduce friction.
The forks will then be carefully assembled replacing all oil seals, o-rings, copper washers and DU bushes. The next stage is to fill the shock with oil and subsequently make sure that there is absolutely no air in the system.
Once these levels are correct the shock will be set up by adjusting the compression and rebound damping followed by setting the sag by adjusting the preload.
